Petition rejected

Despite exceeding our target of 400 signatories (we achieved 624) the Council has elected to REJECT our petition. The full grounds for rejection can be viewed on the Council's website under rejected e-petitions.

We strongly disagree with the grounds for rejection and have responded challenging the decision.

It seems very unlikely that we will be provided with the opportunity to present our petition to a meeting of the full council.

As the petitioner I am extremely disappointed by the council's response, and lack of engagement with those that will be directly impacted by this planning proposal.

This does not stop us. We continue work in readiness for the formal planning application.
